STORY of a TRANSFORMATION
This selection of painting tells a story. The one of my transformation, my healing process.
When I left France, my healing journey started even if I didn’t see it coming, I guess deep down I knew it would happen. You can read the story through the paintings but feel free to also interpret them your own way, through your own story!
Transformation
The artist's interpretation
This painting reflects the transformation that begins when someone starts therapy. The hourglass represents the time and steps one must go through.
It begins as an angry, sharp mix of negative feelings, ready to fight back at every attack. But with time, guidance, and support, every memory and story can be seen in more than one way.
Over time, reflection leads to a calmer and more flexible self, ready for the final stage of transformation: forming a whole with one’s memories, emotions, and thoughts, and learning to navigate life without falling back into the darker, sharper, side.
This painting was made before I started therapy, as though I knew a transformation was coming…

Going Down the Rabbit Hole
The artist's interpretation
This piece captures the start of self-reflection, with an intense look inward. At first, you think it will be okay, like a little cruise down memory lane with a couple bumps. But the deeper you go, the harder it gets. Complex connections and emotions keep appearing. Curiosity turns into confrontation. You’re going down the rabbit hole.

Process
The artist's interpretation
This piece represents the hard journey of processing complicated life events. It is a long process. Some steps are harder to take than others. There’s always more coming and it is a never ending journey. All you can do is hope it gets better, because it does. Believe me.

Transition
The artist's interpretation
This piece was made during a year I barely painting. I guess I was too busy dealing with issues but it sort of acted as a check-in, seeing how I felt.
You can definitely see the transition I was going through: from angry in the dark to calmer feeling with a brighter mind and mood.

Kept trying
The artist's interpretation
I started this painting in 2023 but it took me almost a year to finish. Not because it was so difficult to do skill-wise. But because it was so difficult to accept what it meant.
Each line in it made me closer to having to accept what it meant. Each line was another attempt at trying to get through the wall I felt my family was. Each time I came bigger, angrier, louder, sadder, and each time it didn’t go through.
One day I gave up and calmed down and just talked. Miraculously it went through. Of course not to the extent I have always wished for, but seeds were planted. The wall was lightly infiltrated. Hope was reborn.

Healing
The artist's interpretation
Jump into the future:
This painting illustrates how I felt on the moment I finally felt at peace with old wounds. It happened after a couple vulnerable discussions. When they happened, I just felt like something just healed in me. Like light coming out of two pieces, hence the golden glow.

Golden Hour
The artist's interpretation
This piece is a true proof that when healed, it is possible to be happy even when some negative things are going on.
The blue, red, and black parts make the gold come out.
Sadness, anger, and frustration make happiness stand out.
